The award was given for its exceptionally high level of innovation and design quality. But what makes the Duffle so special? Duffles with wheels have been around for years and are now indispensable in the travel scene. Ortlieb has tailored a wheel system specifically for its Duffle RS, which is particularly suited for off-road travel. The 90 mm wheels are integrated into the bag body and provide not only absolute ground clearance but also 100% waterproofing. The additional aluminum base plate and the abrasion-resistant Cordura material are a strong statement against all ground conditions. And what is so perfect at the bottom also translates easily to the top. Ortlieb has completely eliminated a heavy telescopic frame and instead equipped the bag with an adjustable strap handle. This results in effortless pulling with plenty of legroom and a good kilo less in weight. But that’s not all. The absence of a telescopic handle allows the Duffle RS to have a soft, flexible back, enabling it to be easily rolled up for compact storage when needed. The waterproof TIZIP zipper runs the entire length of the bag, providing convenience when packing and unpacking. Additionally, the travel bag features an inner pocket, an outer mesh pocket, detachable and adjustable shoulder/carry straps, and various material loops for securing additional gear.
