Alpaca wool is nice and soft, but it loses fibres! For cleaning, we recommend hand washing, then drying horizontally.
Small balls may form during the first few washes, this is not unusual. You can remove these with a soft bristle clothes brush by gently brushing the jumper in the direction of the fibres. Alternatively, you can also use a small pair of scissors, for example.
To prevent fibres from falling out, you can put the garment in a plastic bag in the freezer for 2 hours or in the refrigerator overnight. The cold tightens the fibres of the wool and prevents fluffing.
