With Tree-Kånken, Fjällräven has found an alternative to fossil raw materials. Made from Pine Weave, a unique material made using more sustainable methods from certified Swedish trees that grow near Fjällräven's home town of Örnsköldsvik. The material is waxed, giving it a natural mottled effect. The backpack combines the simplicity of Kånken with carefully modified details that give Tree-Kånken its own unique identity: a reflective logo, a flat pocket at the front and a strap at the bottom to attach gear.
