Material: 100%wool (merino wool, controlled biological animal husbandry)
Care: Wool is very similar in its chemical structure to human hair. Therefore, as with washing your hair, it should be cleaned as gently as possible. Wool hardly absorbs dirt, it really repels dirt. Thus, clothing made of wool rarely needs to be washed; airing is usually quite sufficient.
If wool articles must be washed, however, hand washing at max. 30° C is recommended for natural wool. It is also possible to machine wash wool in cold water without spinning. Wool is extremely sensitive to alkalis and therefore also to soap.
Therefore, use a non-alkaline wool detergent, such as the tried-and-tested disana wool shampoo, to wash wool. To prevent felting, wool should not be soaked, rubbed, wrung or brushed. Simply press through lightly with your hand. Drying in the sun, on the heater or even in a tumble dryer is taboo. Dry lying down, pull damp into shape.
