3. San Marzano Sessantanni

Primitivo enjoyment of the highest class. One of the noblest and most powerful representatives of its grape variety. Intense, bright ruby red. A complex, broad, and fruity bouquet reminiscent of cherry jam, with nuances of plums and tobacco leaves. Enchanting, full-bodied, rich, and elegant with a certain sweetness and aromas of cocoa and vanilla, leading to an endless finish. The hand-picked grapes of Sessantanni come from vineyards around the municipality of San Marzano. The wine is produced with thermo-controlled fermentation at a temperature between 24 and 26 degrees Celsius. After fermentation, the wine is aged for several months in French barriques and large Slovenian oak barrels. Old Vines = old vines. The over 60-year-old vines yield the best and most concentrated grape material. The low rainfall also positively influences the quality.

4. Bodegas Ribas Sió

When the name of the grandmother graces the label, the contents must surely meet her strict standards. Sió's noble maturation in barrels reveals notes of coconut, honey, and cigar box. A hint of rose and hibiscus, the impression of sun-ripened raspberries and rose hips, along with cinnamon and star anise, create its aromatic spectrum. Full-bodied, with a strong, balanced structure and pleasantly noticeable tannins, it presents itself as a wine with a pronounced Mediterranean character.

5. L'amabile Negroamaro Puglia

The fruity, sweet and balanced flavour of Negroamaro is provided by its aromas of juicy berries. Complemented by fine cherry notes and a hint of sun-ripened strawberries, this red wine is a guaranteed treat for the palate. Even the label exudes sensuality and joie de vivre: L'Amabile is a selected wine for all special occasions. The sweet, palatable and pure Negroamaro wine tastes good whenever and wherever a special moment is savoured. Puglia in southern Italy is one of the country's most productive wine-growing regions. From the spur of the boot near Foggia to the tip of the heel behind Lecce, Puglia stretches over 400 kilometres. The region has the most grape varieties in southern Italy, around 80 per cent of which are red. The Mediterranean climate and calcareous subsoil with iron oxide-rich layers on top create perfect conditions for viticulture. In the dry, hot summers, the grapes ripen optimally and the wines become deep dark, earthy and full-bodied. In contrast to the other southern regions, there are hardly any mountains here; the landscape consists mainly of plateaus and flatlands. A wine-growing region with enormous potential - the possibilities of the countless indigenous grape varieties are far from exhausted. Even today, Puglia offers the highest quality wines of great intensity and richness; the finest quality wines grow on the Salento peninsula.
