The unique aroma of this Chinotto comes from the western Ligurian Riviera, where Chinotto plants have been cultivated since 1500. In Savona, there is now a Slow Food Presidio to protect the valuable citrus fruits that give the drink its characteristic amber flavor and emit an intense, juicy fragrance. It has a clear, transparent color with vibrant notes of caramelized Afghan amber. The intense scent of citrus and spices is complemented by carbon dioxide, enhancing the finesse and harmony of a particularly complex bouquet of citrus fruits, herbs, spices, and bitter caramel. The palate is velvety and smooth with a noble, harmonious tone, without excessive sweetness.
