Brewed only once a year on December 6th, this strong beer is arguably the most famous beer from our brewery, boasting a large following among the growing number of beer connoisseurs. The very elaborate and lengthy production process (10 months in the cellar) makes it a true rarity. Samichlaus can age for many years in the bottle, with older vintages gaining complexity and developing a creamy, warm finish. The proof: The 2004 vintage won the gold medal in the "aged beers" category at the World Beer Cup 2012.

Red-brown with an oily consistency, endless dried plum notes, complemented by a noble, finely sparkling mouthfeel that is flanked by chocolate notes.
