Product details
A rather powerful, complex bouquet of exotic fruits (pineapple, mango) along with apple, apricot, and grapefruit rises to the nose. On the palate, the wine is slightly sparkling and sweet, beautifully soft, round, and harmonious. Its fruitiness, which also shows aspects of dried fruits, is complemented by some peppery notes, and the finish is pleasantly medium-long.
Over 4,400 cooperative members supply Provins, the largest Swiss wine producer, with the yields from vineyard parcels between Sierre and Lake Geneva. The company focuses on quality and produces about 20 of the 50 Valais grape varieties today. Top oenologists Madeleine Gay and Luc Sermet and their team vinify the distinctive line "Grand Métral," creating an uncomplicated drinking pleasure: the wines are fresh, fruity, full-bodied, and immediately accessible. They primarily target customers from the "brasserie, bar" type and pair excellently with modern gastronomy.
A lovely aperitif wine that also pairs well with sweet and saltwater fish, Asian dishes, vegetable gratin, tapas, raclette, and fondue.
