Provins Heida du Valais AOC

A fruity, full-bodied bright yellow wine with a medium-strength bouquet, initially featuring aromas of pear and citrus fruits (grapefruit and lime), along with a hint of exotic mango. On the palate, it is slightly sparkling and fresh, with a soft, full-bodied, and harmonious structure that supports the dominant fruit. This is a lovely aperitif wine that pairs harmoniously with melon and prosciutto, and it also complements fish dishes—both warm and cold—grilled vegetables, risotto, and cheese well.

The Valais, located in the heart of the Alpine chain, benefits from an exceptional climate and is the driest canton in Switzerland, with an average annual rainfall of less than 600 millimeters. The Föhn, which often occurs in autumn, dries the grapes, promotes their ripening, concentrates the sugar, and protects against botrytis. The temperature differences between hot days and cool nights are significant, enhancing the complexity and finesse of the aromas in the grapes. The conditions for viticulture, practiced at altitudes ranging from 450 to well over 800 meters, are therefore ideal in the Valais. The diverse soil mosaic, depending on the sub-region (granite, limestone, slate, gravel), is characterized by small plots, mostly laid out as terraces and supported by ecologically valuable dry stone walls.
