As a lucky charm, the guardian angel in the form of a statue stands in every wine cellar. This angel has accompanied Aurelio Montes since the founding and watches over the exceptional wines. Not only because of this, but also thanks to his great sense for new terroirs and top wines, Aurelio Montes has made a name for himself on the international wine scene. He discovered Chile's potential and set his sights on producing wines of the highest quality. Today, he manages 800 hectares of vineyard in Apalta, Marchigüe, and the cooler Zapallar. The winery is family-owned, led by Aurelio Montes, who is already supported by the second generation, his son Aurelio Montes Jr.

Strong, black-red colour and a very intense and elegant bouquet with fresh dark fruits such as blackberries, blueberries and plums as well as a hint of chocolate and coconut. On the palate, the wine is multi-layered, dense and of exceptional complexity and structure. The flavours of blackberries, mocha, coffee and fine spices are supported by silky, powerful tannins, followed by a pleasant freshness and a very long finish. Montes Folly can be enjoyed immediately, but will improve even more over the next 20 years.
