Matilde Oscura Grande

The Matilde Oscura is a blend of Dominican, Nicaraguan, and Pennsylvania fillers, held together by an Ecuadorian Sumatra binder and presented with a robust San Andreas wrapper. It delivers remarkable notes of both black and white pepper, balanced with a hint of sweetness. As the experience unfolds, wood and subtle coffee flavors emerge. One of the oldest cigar brands in the Dominican Republic

Matilde was founded in 1876 in Santiago de los Caballeros and was one of the first tobacco companies in the Dominican Republic. However, the operation was halted in the early 1900s. In 2014, the brand was revived by the Seijas family. Their first line, the Matilde Renacer, immediately made it into the Top 25 Cigars of 2014 and received a score of 92 points.
