On the nose, it is intense with strong spice notes, ripe cherries, a hint of mint, and delicate licorice tones. On the palate, it is very complex and rich in extract, full-bodied yet layered. Ripe, well-integrated tannins, fine fruit sweetness with a long, spicy finish. Younger vintages should be opened or decanted a few hours before enjoyment.
