Product details
The classic Red Ale is probably the most well-known Irish beer after Guinness. The beer's name comes from a marketing strategy: when Smithwick’s began exporting in the early 1980s, almost no one on the European mainland could pronounce the name correctly. A new name was sought, and Kilkenny was chosen. Thus, this reddish-brown Irish Ale is now named after the city from which it originally comes. Kilkenny is served with nitrogen, resulting in a fine-pored, rich foam head.
