Grownby Vinhal Lavado Verde

This coffee is raw and unroasted. It is suitable for home roasters. Those looking for coffee beans for immediate consumption can find the same bean light roasted for filter coffee, medium roasted for café crème, or dark roasted for espresso.

The coffee has been washed and processed by coffee producer Rafael Vinhal. The beans were immediately removed from the cherry after harvesting, washed, and dried. The coffee impresses with pronounced acidity and body. For a lighter and nuttier coffee, the same bean in sun-dried processing is recommended: the whole cherry was dried before the bean was removed. For a cup with more sweetness and fruitiness, the fermented processing is the choice. Before the whole cherries were sun-dried, they were fermented in barrels. The coffee beans were harvested and processed in late summer 2020 and were packed and shipped in Brazil in January 2021. The 60-kilogram jute bags were imported into Switzerland via Bremen and the Rhine port of Basel in March 2021.

The Vinhal family produces specialty coffee and regularly counts among the winners of the Cup of Excellence, the international quality competition for coffee. Rafael Vinhal represents a new generation of young, adventurous coffee producers: he independently exports and markets his coffee without intermediaries. Through collaboration with Grownby, he is enabled to bring his freshly roasted coffee to Swiss coffee drinkers.
