Grownby is committed to bringing coffee directly from the farmer to the customer and radically streamlining the supply chain. This not only offers the customer an unprecedented variety of different coffee beans and roasts, the farmer is recognized for his quality accordingly through visibility as has long been the case with wineries, but he also receives thanks to the direct purchase an amount 50% and more greater than the current exchange price.

For coffee is in many ways like wine: it's not just the machine we use to brew our coffee, or the talent of our favorite roaster when he puts his finishing touches on the coffee beans. It starts much earlier, on the plantations of over 20 million coffee farmers worldwide. Coffee has its own gigantic universe: Brazil alone has more to offer in terms of diversity in coffee than the wine countries of France, Spain, and Italy have in their wine barrels combined.

Grownby brings this universe into the cups of Swiss coffee drinkers. In cooperation with Zurich-based coffee trading platform Algrano and Lucerne-based roaster Rast Kaffee, Grownby sources, roasts and sells select, freshly harvested coffee - not all at once, but in a series in which we work with individual coffee producers for each product. Which coffee and which farmers are behind each offering is clearly and transparently identified at all times.
