Grimbergen Blanche Beer Case 24 x 250 ml / 6% Belgium

Belgian wheat beers have a long tradition that dates back to the 14th century. However, this beer style is almost unknown in Switzerland. Compared to German wheat beers, Belgian ones are usually lighter and significantly more subtle in flavor. Grimbergen Blanche is a refreshing, fruity witbier with aromas of citrus fruits, cloves, and coriander. Light nuances of bergamot in the finish make Grimbergen Blanche exciting and varied.

The Grimbergen Abbey was founded in 1128 by St. Norbert. Throughout the turbulent history of the abbey, it has been destroyed and rebuilt four times. Since then, the abbey has adopted the phoenix as its symbol with the inscription "Ardet Nec Consumitur" – "Burned but not destroyed." In 1956, the abbey entered into an agreement with the Maes Brewery to develop various abbey beers. Maes formed a joint venture with the Alken breweries – together they are now Alken Maes.
