O'Hara's Irish Red Ale 24 x 330 ml / 4.3% Ireland

This Red stands out in its beer style category. The malt body is as impressive as a bock, albeit in a uniquely Irish way. With an incredibly smooth malt body complemented by caramel notes and perfectly balanced in bitterness, this Irish Red is much more complex than its mainstream rivals.

Color / Appearance
Dark ruby red in color, it pours with a dense, lasting white head.

Aroma
The malt aroma is immediately present and persistent, with a hint of roasted barley, accompanied by a distinctive fruity and almost herbal aroma due to the late addition of Mt. Hood hops.

Aftertaste
The addition of a pinch of barley grits during the brewing process gives a pronounced bite, balanced by a crisp medium bitterness. The caramel flavors carry through to the end.
