This is something you rarely find in Rioja: a red wine made from one hundred percent Garnacha. Normally, this ancient Iberian grape plays a supporting role to Tempranillo, but here it shows what it can do on its own. And it impresses right from the first sip: what finesse and elegance! Enticing fruit aromas of red currant, blackberry, and black cherry are complemented by noble roasted notes and a fine minerality. Full-bodied, with invigorating freshness, polished tannins, and delightful extract sweetness – with this wine, the Palacios Remondo estate has truly created a showcase wine. Its concentration is thanks to very old vines – hence the designation Viñas Viejas.
