The steam distillation of rose blossoms produces floral water, which contains the water-soluble components of the blossoms. By dehydration a concentrate is produced, which in Germany is again mixed with pre-preserved water, as it is easily perishable. It is a clear liquid with a light rose scent. Rose water nourishes and relaxes sensitive and delicate skin and supports its natural acid mantle. It has invigorating and nurturing properties, has a cleansing and harmonising effect. It is used for the production of facial tonics or pure and can replace the water phase completely or partially in the production of homemade cosmetics. Incorporate as a care component in emulsions, skin creams, shower gels, shampoos or hair care products. Not suitable for consumption.
