St. John's Wort oil is an oil extract from St. John's Wort flowers combined with olive oil and is used for skin irritations. The oil has relaxing and soothing properties and contains 55-85% monounsaturated and 5-10% polyunsaturated fatty acids, flavonoids, tannins, and hyperforin. St. John's Wort oil should not be applied just before sun exposure, as it increases the skin's sensitivity to light.
