The neem tree has various valuable ingredients that can be utilized. The most interesting component is undoubtedly azadirachtin. The neem tree produces this substance to protect itself from insects – it has an insecticidal effect that can also benefit humans. Neem oil is found in ointments, shampoos, and many other cosmetic products. In shampoo, the oil provides shiny, dandruff-free hair, and the active ingredient also works against lice and fleas. To use it, mix 2 to 3 drops of neem oil into your shampoo with each wash. To fully harness the skin-clearing and disinfecting properties of neem, you can also add it to your next bath. It has antibacterial effects and helps with issues related to blackheads and skin blemishes. The valuable oil can also be used for fungal infections and itchy skin. If you want to treat larger areas of skin with neem oil, it is advisable to dilute it with a good carrier oil (such as almond oil or olive oil).
