St. John's Wort oil is a natural remedy for wound healing and alleviates pain in injured skin.

For wound healing:
You can apply St. John's Wort oil to the skin if you have sustained an injury. The oil accelerates wound healing and reduces the likelihood of infection. Apply the oil to closed wounds daily. This keeps the skin elastic and results in fewer raised scars.

You can also apply the oil to wounds in the mouth. After having a tooth extracted by the dentist or when children lose their baby teeth, the oil can soothe the painful area.

For minor burns:
If you have a minor burn, gently apply the oil to the area immediately. Redness decreases more quickly, and pain subsides. Caution: For severe, extensive burns with blistering, you should consult a doctor directly.

For eczema or psoriasis:
The active ingredients in the oil soothe the skin in cases of eczema or psoriasis and reduce itching. The skin does not become as red and flakes less.

As a hair treatment:
A few drops of St. John's Wort oil can be massaged into damp hair as an oil treatment and rinsed out with lukewarm water after 20 minutes. It helps with flaky and oily scalps.

For acne:
For acne, dab a little oil on the inflamed area. The skin heals more easily, and fewer scars remain.
