Elastic thread The correct elasticity of the tapes is of central importance in therapy. The elastane thread used in K-Tapes guarantees consistent elasticity throughout the entire application. Colour / acrylic adhesive If you are applying a tape to the skin for a whole week, it is important to choose the best raw materials, especially when it comes to the colours and the acrylic adhesive. Otherwise skin irritations are inevitable. K-Tapes use only colours that comply with Ökotex Standard 100 and a Physiobond® adhesive that has been specifically developed for use on tapes. Therefore, K-Tapes may even be used on babies. Paper film K-Tape also leaves nothing to chance when it comes to paper film. For example, the film not only serves to protect the acrylic coating, but also takes on the 10% pre-stretch from the production process. This means that K-Tape for muscle systems already has the right pre-stretch, which you can then transfer to the skin. Adhesion The Physiobond® adhesive developed exclusively for K-Tape has extra-long polymer chains so that the adhesive can anchor well in the skin and last accordingly. Certification Due to their application on the human body, tapes are considered medical devices. K-Tapes are therefore manufactured under the strictest conditions. TüV Germany and SGS monitor compliance with these standards.
