Atrauman® Silicone is a wound contact layer made from a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) mesh as the carrier material, coated on both sides with silicone gel (based on polydimethylsiloxane). This wound contact layer is designed for atraumatic wound treatment and is thin, soft, customizable, and drapable. Its open mesh structure allows for permeability to exudate. It adheres gently and securely to dry surfaces, but not to moist ones, thereby preventing it from sticking to the wound.
