How to get rid of your blackheads

Blackheads on your face are annoying. You can get rid of them in no time at all with special plasters. There are just a few things you need to bear in mind.

For me, using "pore strips" is the only effective way to get rid of blackheads. These are plasters that I stick to moistened skin on my chin, nose and forehead and then leave to dry before removing them. The sebum from my pores then sticks to them. A very satisfying feeling. Of course, there are differences in quality between different brands, but if you don't follow these tips, even the best plasters won't be any good.

1. degrease

Before you start, you should clean your face thoroughly. Make sure that you remove any oils from the areas of your face that you want to "plaster". This will help the plaster stick better later. An oil-free micellar water or tonic is suitable for this purpose.

2. heat

In order for the plaster to draw the sebum out of your pores, it is beneficial for them to dilate. For example, I hold my nose under lukewarm water for a while. Alternatively, you can also apply the strips after a hot shower or steam bath.

3. what doesn't fit is made to fit

Not every plaster fits every face perfectly. If you notice that yours doesn't fit around your nose without wrinkles, you can cut it on the side facing the tip of your nose next time. I personally make one cut on the left and one on the right where the wings of the nose are and then three more where the plaster wraps around the tip of the nose. This allows me to place it more flexibly later. I also have to cut the chin and forehead plasters each time so that I don't tape my lips or tear out my eyebrows when I pull them off.

4. from the bottom up

Now you should be ready. Apply the plaster to damp skin and press it on firmly. Leave it to dry for 10 to 15 minutes. Once the plaster is hard, you can carefully peel it off. I recommend doing this from the bottom up. In my experience, more blackheads stick to it this way.

As a massive Disney fan, I see the world through rose-tinted glasses. I worship series from the 90s and consider mermaids a religion. When I’m not dancing in glitter rain, I’m either hanging out at pyjama parties or sitting at my make-up table. P.S. I love you, bacon, garlic and onions.
