Product details
The display model is a replica of the German heavy tank destroyer named Elefant in 1:35 scale.
In 1941, Porsche created a tank prototype with radical features such as a gasoline-electric hybrid powertrain. In 1943, the tank was converted into a Ferdinand tank destroyer, equipped with an 8.8 cm long PaK 43 L/71 gun in a large box-shaped superstructure. In 1944, 50 surviving Ferdinands received modifications, including a machine gun and a commander's cupola, and were named Elefant. The Elefants fought on the Italian and Russian fronts, with some continuing to fight until the end of World War II during the Battle of Berlin.
