Naruto, Sakura, Yamato, and Sai are summoned by Tsunade to investigate a massacre that took place in Hole. The four quickly discover that Kabuto and his ruthless accomplices are responsible for the attack. On one hand, he aimed to seize the treasures stored there, but he also wanted to use the village's special water to enhance his Edo Tensei technique. Kabuto manages to trick Naruto and clone the Nine-Tails as well, intending to completely destroy the village. A battle ensues between the clone and Naruto, during which Naruto increasingly loses control over himself.
