In 50 BC, Asterix (voiced by Christian Clavier in the original / Milan Peschel in the German version), Obelix (Guillaume Briat / Charly Hübner), and Getafix set out to find a druid to whom Getafix can pass on the secret of the magic potion, as he wishes to retire. For a long time, he was able to climb the tall oaks effortlessly to gather mistletoe for his potion. However, one day he falls from a tree, and Getafix is forced to take it easy. While they search all of Gaul for a worthy successor, the wicked Heretix concocts a sinister plan. He too wants to get his hands on the recipe for the magic potion and teams up with the Romans. Now, the women of the village must defend their home all on their own against the Roman invaders and secure the supplies of the magic potion.
