Product details
Usage
A solvent-based, fast-drying paint designed for use on plastic model kits, but can also be applied to other surfaces. Available in matte, satin, gloss, metallic, metal coat, and clear finishes (the gloss varies depending on the color).
Surface
A variety of surfaces, including most plastics, wood, glass, ceramics, metal, cardboard, sealed plaster, sealed hardboard, and more (always test suitability on a small area first).
Coverage
A 14 ml can covers approximately 0.3 m², depending on the thickness of the layer.
Application
Apply directly from the can with a brush. Spray with a suitable thinner like Humbrol Enamel Thinners. Two thin coats are preferable to one thick coat. The usual thinning ratio is 2 parts paint to 1 part thinner. Note that metal coat paints are intended to be polished once fully dry.
Drying Time
Gloss: 1-2 hours
Matte & Satin: 20-40 minutes to dust dry, up to 24 hours for hard dry
Metallics: hard dry in about 10 days. Drying times vary depending on ambient temperature and humidity. Recoating: at least 6 hours (preferably overnight).
Cleaning Instructions:
Brush: Use Humbrol Enamel Thinners
Airbrush: rinse thoroughly with Humbrol Enamel Thinners. The product is permanent once dry.
