Every year again - Christmas with the Coopers

One thing is for sure: Christmas is celebrated every year - even by the Coopers. And as always, they are doing their best to hide all their problems and personal weaknesses in favor of a harmonious Christmas celebration in front of others: Charlotte and Sam are preparing for their roles as perfect hosts, striving to surpass the idyllic scene of a Christmas postcard - however, their marriage is currently in a serious crisis after 40 years. Their already divorced son Hank, the father of two boys and a virtuously swearing four-year-old girl, hasn’t told anyone that he was recently laid off. His sister Eleanor, on the other hand, wants to avoid the constant questions about her single status by relying on a charming soldier she met briefly at an airport bar.
