Every year again - Christmas with the Coopers

You can count on one thing: Christmas is celebrated every year - even at the Cooper's. And as always, they do their best to hide all their problems and personal weaknesses from the others for the sake of a harmonious Christmas: Charlotte (Diane Keaton) and Sam (John Goodman) prepare for their role as the perfect hosts in their quest to surpass the idyll of a Christmas postcard - but after 40 years, their marriage is currently in a juicy crisis. Their already divorced son Hank (Ed Helms), father of two boys and a virtuoso cursing four-year-old, has never told anyone that he was recently terminated. His sister Eleanor (Olivia Wilde), on the other hand, would like to avoid the constant questions concerning her single life with the help of a charming soldier, whom she finds at short notice in a bar at the airport.
