Carefree, the orphaned fox cub Cap and the lively puppy Capper romp together over hill and dale. Along the way, the two young ones meet many amusing friends. For now, Cap and Capper are the very best of friends, unaware that one day they will face each other as enemies. Capper is trained as a hunting dog, and the grumpy hunter has set his sights on Cap. The old friendship between the two is put to a severe test, putting them in great danger. An exhilarating chase ensues.
