DCM LOL - laughing out loud

Lola (Christa Theret), nicknamed Lol by her friends, has been looking forward to the first day of school and reuniting with Arthur. However, her good mood doesn't last long: Arthur apparently cheated on her during the summer break, a provocative blonde is stirring things up in her friend group, and her new feelings for Arthur's best friend only add to the confusion.

Lola's mother Anne (Sophie Marceau) makes things even worse: someone who doesn't even know what "lol" means, arranges secret meetings with her own ex, and lets herself be flirted with by a police officer whom all the other girls find super cool is not just impossible, but completely out of touch.

Meanwhile, Anne wonders what has happened to her sweet little daughter and why they can no longer talk. Where there used to be the closest bond, there is now pure chaos.
