DCM LOL - laughing out loud

Lola (Christa Theret), known as Lol by her friends, has been looking forward to the first day of school and reuniting with Arthur. However, her good mood doesn’t last long: Arthur apparently cheated on her during the summer holidays, a provocative blonde is stirring things up in their group, and her new feelings for Arthur's best friend only add to her confusion.

Lola's mother Anne (Sophie Marceau) makes everything worse: someone who doesn’t even know what "lol" means, arranges secret meetings with her ex, and lets herself be flirted with by a police officer whom all the girls at school find super cool, is not just impossible but completely out of touch.

Anne, in turn, wonders what has happened to her sweet little daughter and why she can no longer talk to her. Where there used to be a beautiful closeness, there is now pure chaos.
