What exactly is the difference between the Woody LX and the Woody LD? That's not obvious to me from the description.... Thank you!
We bought the Woody LX last year and I was faced with the same question. As far as I could find out, the grill grate of the LX is made of cast iron, whereas the grate of the LD is made of stainless steel. I couldn't find any other difference (apart from the colour (LX silver/LD black)). Since cast iron is better for grilling, we decided on the LX.
I don't have the LD, but according to the manual there should be the following differences:
1. the LX has an electronic starter (with battery) while the LD has only a manual one.
2. the grill base is different. The LX has a grill plate on 1/3 of the width while the LD is completely grill grate. 3.
3. the LX has a 2nd shelf, called a warming rack. On the LD, the holders are there, but none are included.
4. on the LX you can fold in the side panels, on the LD they are rigid.
5. with the LX you can put a small gas bottle in the bottom, with the LD you should not do this... (On the LX there is a strap to fasten the bottle. I don't think this is supplied with the LD).
Already mentioned, the colours are different and the material of the grill grate (see previous writer).
I bought the LX part. Grilles great. Recommendable ;-)
The LX has the basic grill grate for Culinary Modular Inserts included and the lid is a bit higher quality. That's all I know. I took the LX...
