the scissors keep getting stuck, despite cleaning the blades and then spraying them with silicone spray ?

I had the same problem once. I then realised that it is necessary to clean the blades after each use and that rubbing them with a very small amount of special oil (in my case: for clippers) helps. I haven't had the problem since. I find silicone spray problematic as it tends to stick.

The motor on our scissors still sounded, but the scissors no longer had any motor support. We had to send it in shortly before the warranty expired. We received a new one.

I'm sorry, I don't really know the problem, but I could imagine that the shears get jammed if the branches are too thick.
