The assembly instructions state that the gas bottle should not be placed under the barbecue when using the LD. Is Campingaz being a bit overcautious here or do you always place the gas bottle next to it when barbecuing?

Depends on the height of the gas bottle! We put it underneath because it is smaller than 70 cm. According to the operating instructions, higher bottles must be placed next to the barbecue.
