Question about Intex Krystal Clear sand filter system
Hello, now that the 2019 bathing season is coming to an end, I have 2 questions: I bought the glass sand filter new and filled it at the end of May 2019, so just 1 bathing season of normal use. Is it now time to dispose of the glass granulate from Intex or do you use it for several seasons? If you dispose of it, do you put it in the white glass container of the municipality or do you dispose of it as hazardous waste? Thank you for your feedback Stéphane
Hello, Since the sand grains wear out after a certain time, filter sand must be changed after every season. Filter glass for the pool can be used at least twice as long. Changing the filter material is recommended after 4 to 10 years, depending on the manufacturer. It can be disposed of in normal household waste.
