Does this device measure the core temperature as well as the cooking chamber temperature (e.g. oven temperature)?
It can. Due to the 6 needles, this can be set up so that one of them measures the oven/water/grill temperature and sounds an alarm if it is too hot or cold. However, the temperature is limited to 300 (250) degrees. So low cooking or water cooking is no problem, I use it that way. Full heat in the gas/charcoal/electric grill no.
