I bought the axe to split smaller pieces. But actually it is not built for that. The angle of the grind and the non-stick coating prevent you from jamming the pieces in the axe. (Often necessary when the pieces can't stand on the splitting stick themselves).
I can therefore not recommend it.

I haven't tried dry or wet wood yet. I assume that this axe was built for splitting wood and not for digging potato furrows. Hansi
