Pizza oven gas
After using the pizza oven three times, I wanted to remove the stone to clean the oven. When I carefully lifted the stone from below with one finger, I only had half the stone in my hand. A crack runs right through the whole stone. Now I have read that this has happened to many others. So the quality of this stone seems to be very doubtful. Does anyone have any experience whether it is possible to bake with a broken stone?
This can happen on anything if there has been a temperature shock. In any case the stone remains functional. You can ask to activate the guarantee or look for an equivalent stone with a thicker surface.
It's probably fine. However, I would certainly see if you can get a replacement under warranty. In many traditional ovens, there are gaps everywhere. If you have practice, you can make a good pizza, I would think.
