Zulauf Switchgrass / Panicum virgatum Prairie Sky

The switchgrass is botanically known as Panicum virgatum 'Prairie Sky'. This plant is characterized by its distinctive bluish leaves and green flowers that appear from August to September, adding a subtle color accent to the ornamental garden. It thrives best in well-drained, humus-rich soils and prefers sunny locations. As a deciduous plant, it loses its leaves in autumn but is very winter hardy and can withstand even severe frost.
