With the appropriate monitoring system and correct wiring, these switches can achieve safety category 4 according to EN/ISO 13849-1, PL e according to EN/ISO 13849-1, and SIL 3 according to EN/IEC 61508. Safety limit switches Series XCSM. The industrial compact miniature limit switches of the XCSM series from Schneider are designed for monitoring access doors and/or protective devices on machines with low inertia as well as on machines with high inertia when used in combination with actuator-operated protective device switches. When used independently, they are always installed in "positive mode," but when paired, one switch is installed in "positive mode" and the other switch in "negative mode." Available with a switch for linear movement (plunger) or rotary movement (lever). Normally open contacts with forced opening, snap contacts. Compact miniature housing made of red metal, pre-wired, plastic protective cover secured by a 5-sided safety screw with a socket attachment. The head on the rotary movement switch (lever) is adjustable in 15° increments up to 360°. Linear movement switches (plunger) only with approach to the end. Protection class IP66/67 according to EN/IEC 60529. Complies with ROHS.
