Note: Material W4: Hose clamps made from material W4 are entirely composed of chromium-nickel or comparable steel. Material W4 is also known as V2A and has the material number 1.4301. It belongs to the austenitic stainless steels and is the most commonly used material in many applications. Hose clamps made from this steel have high corrosion resistance due to their nickel content and are largely resistant to water, weak organic and inorganic acids, humidity, and water vapor. Therefore, they are particularly well-suited for use in beverage and food production, the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries, and medical technology, among others. However, they are not suitable for use in swimming pool environments, as W4 is susceptible to chlorine compounds. Due to their excellent polishability, hose clamps made from W4 are optimally applicable in areas that require high standards for appearance.
