The SPAX-typical drive T-STAR plus is a so-called internal hexagon. This shape increases the contact area of our T-STAR plus, allowing the T-STAR plus bits to fit optimally in the screw head. The best possible power transfer from the screwdriver to the screw through T-STAR plus enables quick work, significantly more efficient than with any other drives.

The screws with partial threads are excellent for fastening thin components such as wood-based panels, boards, or floorboards to thicker components like beams or posts. The short thread screws into the thick component, while the unthreaded shank remains in the attachment. This creates maximum clamping pressure between the two. The unthreaded part should be at least as thick as the attachment.

The term 4CUT refers to the square shape of the screw tip. These edges displace the wood fibers during insertion and create space for the screw's core diameter. This reduces the spreading pressure that the core exerts on the wood, preventing splitting near the edges. It also decreases the necessary torque of the cordless screwdriver, as the screw's core does not have to "squeeze" into the wood.

The abbreviation A2 in our stainless steel screws comes from the steel alloy. Screws made of stainless steel A2 offer high protection against corrosion and medium strengths. Their resistance to seawater and acids is low. Therefore, they are used for outdoor applications in coastal areas.
