The SPAX typical drive T-STAR plus is a so-called internal hexagon. This shape increases the contact surface of our T-STAR plus, allowing the T-STAR plus bits to fit optimally in the screw head. The best possible power transfer from the screwdriver to the screw through T-STAR plus enables quick work, significantly more efficient than with any other drives. The screws with partial thread are excellently suited for fastening thin components such as wood-based panels, boards, or floorboards to thicker components like beams or posts. The short thread screws into the thick component, while the unthreaded shaft remains in the attachment. This creates maximum clamping pressure between the two. The unthreaded part should be at least equal to the thickness of the attachment. The term 4CUT refers to the square shaping of the screw tip. These edges displace the wood fibers during insertion and create space for the screw's core diameter. The spreading pressure exerted by the core in the wood is thus reduced, preventing the wood from splitting near the edges. The required torque of the cordless screwdriver is also reduced, as the core of the screw does not have to "squeeze" into the wood. The abbreviation A2 in our stainless steel screws comes from the steel alloy. Screws made of stainless steel A2 offer high protection against corrosion and medium strengths.
