The SINAMICS Power Module PM240-2 is the ideal power module for standard applications in mechanical engineering for the modular frequency converter SINAMICS G120. As part of the modular frequency converter SINAMICS G120 (comprising power section, control unit, and operating panel), the PM240-2 power modules (protection class IP20) feature a brake chopper (four-quadrant applications) and are suitable for a wide range of applications in general mechanical engineering.

The PM240-2 power section can be flexibly combined with various control units depending on the application scope and safety requirements (e.g., STO, SS1, SBC, SLS, SDI, SSM). When combined with the control units CU230-2, CU240x-2, and CU250S-2, it forms the functional frequency converter SINAMICS G120.

The PM240-2 in protection class IP20 is a panel-mounted device for the control cabinet with a power range from 0.55 kW to 250 kW, available in three voltage variants: 200 V, 400 V, and 690 V. The power modules are available unfiltered or with an integrated Class A line filter and in seven sizes from FSA to FSG.

To optimally dissipate waste heat outside the control cabinet, the power section is also available as a push-through variant. The sizes also offer Safety Integrated features. Due to the robust design, cable lengths of up to 450 meters (size FSF/FSG) can be achieved. For EMC-compliant wiring, shielding plates and shielding connection sets are available.
