The SINAMICS power module, in combination with the appropriate control unit CU230P-2 and an operator panel IOP/IOP-2 (Intelligent Operator Panel) or Basic Operator Panel (BOP-2) or optionally a blind cover, forms the functional SINAMICS G120P frequency converter. Thanks to its high protection class, it can be used in harsh environments, for example, at ambient temperatures of up to 60 degrees. The PM230 with protection class IP55 generates only minimal network feedback without additional measures and minimizes apparent power losses while ensuring automatic acknowledgment of faults after a power failure. In addition to the energy advantages, it also protects the environment.

The power module PM230 with protection class IP55 is available for wall mounting outside the control cabinet, ranging from 0.37 kW to 90 kW. The sizes FSA to FSF of the power module PM230 with protection class IP55 are available with integrated Class A network filter for installations according to Category C2 and with integrated Class B network filter according to Category C1 in accordance with EN 61800-3. The following accessories are included as standard: shielding plates and shielding connection sets for EMC-compliant connection of power and control cables, as well as connection plugs for mains and motor outputs for sizes FSA to FSC.
