It's an original gift idea. Bördy is absolutely hassle-free: when the plant is watered, you simply fill Bördy through its open beak. With the clay cone inserted in the soil, the bird gradually releases water to the plant, allowing for less frequent watering. A quick glance at the plastic body is enough to see if the water has run out and needs to be refilled.
