Romberg Avocado Kit

Growing exotic little trees from thick avocado seeds is fun for the whole family. The experiment with the summer-green avocado kit is easy for kids to do. All you need to do is place the floater from the round avocado kit (Ø 15 cm) with the flat side down into a glass container filled with water.

You have the option to either rest the avocado kit, produced with Green Power, on the edge of a suitably sized container or to place it freely on the water's surface. With the floating option, the floater adjusts to the water level, so you don't have to top up evaporated water. To prevent the seed in the food-safe avocado kit from molding, you need to thoroughly wipe off any remaining flesh with a damp cloth before placing it in the floater and then dry the seed.

To ensure successful avocado cultivation, change the water in the glass container at least once or twice a week. On a bright, warm windowsill, the first roots and shoots in the avocado kit will sprout within four to six weeks. About three months later, the young avocado plant will be strong enough to move into a flower pot with soil.
